In the game of the week between L.A. Mission College (25-15, 10-8) and Mt. San Antonio (35-5, 23-1), the defense for L.A. Mission College was strong through the first five innings. Two costly errors by the Eagles allowed the Mounties to open up the scoring.

Pitcher Daryanna Ductoc pitched six innings, allowing only three earned runs on nine hits while striking out two batters. Despite her efforts, L.A. Mission was unable to overcome their early deficit and ultimately fell to Mt. San Antonio with a final score of 6-1.

Lizbeth Mora provided the lone run for L.A. Mission with a home run in the seventh inning. However, the team struggled to generate any other offense, with only Cristabelle Alvarado adding a hit alongside Mora's homer.

For Mt. San Antonio, Celeste Cortez went 2-for-2 with a home run and two runs scored, while Brianna Goris went 2-for-3 with a double and a run batted in. Shortstop Jizzell Ruiz made a nice defensive play in the second inning, fielding a ground ball and throwing out the runner at first.

Despite the loss to the #2 Mounties, the team looks to bounce back as they head into the CCCAA State Playoffs for the 2nd time in two years.
