Citrus College suffered an 8-2 defeat against Los Angeles Mission College Thursday afternoon. The Owls fall to 20-12 overall and 6-4 in conference, while the Eagles improve to 20-9 overall and 6-2 in conference.
Although the Owls led 2-1 after the first three and a half innings, the Eagles' offense proved to be too much as they answered back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the third, taking a 4-2 lead.
The Owls wouldn't recover after that as they struggled offensively, only having one hit the remainder of the game. The Eagles would again score four more runs in the sixth inning, claiming an 8-2 win over the Owls.
The Owls were led by Leah Morales who went (2-for-2) from the plate and scored two runs. Rylee Praytor and Madelyn Hajj would both go (1-for-3) from the plate and add an RBI.
The Owls will be back in action Friday as they host Taft College. First Pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
