The three-game series against L.A. Mission College April 15, 17 and 19th was eventful as the Vaqueros clinched the 2025 Western State Conference South Title with a 7-4 win on the road April 15, beat Mission again 13-2 April 17 lost their first game inconference play 8-2 April 19. Glendale is now 17-1 in the WSC South and with three games left in the regular season and 25-11-1 overall and are ranked No. 5 in Southern California in the latest CCCBCA Poll.
In the 13-2-win April 17, David Lozano had three hits and three RBI as well as a pair of doubles and scored two runs. Alex Dolan and Ethan Munoz had two hits each and Ethan Perez homered to pace the offense. Starting pitcher Matt Cuccias got the win in his five innings on the mound and struck out five and Maximo Newhart, Nate Flores and Jameson Johnstone all took the mound in relief for GCC.
Glendale ends the 2025 regular season with three games against Citrus College, Tuesday April 22 on the road at 2 pm, Thursday Z April 24 at home at Stengel Field at 2 pm and Friday April 25 on the Owls home field at 1 pm. The Southern California Regional Playoffs will start May 2-3 with GCC likely to host their first round series as conference champions.
