Nabil Mardini

Bio

Nabil Mardini brings decades of championship-level coaching experience and a proven record of player development to his role as Club Director of the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy. In 2021, Nabil joined Los Angeles Mission College as the Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball Program, following an illustrious tenure leading the powerhouse program at Los Angeles Pierce College.

In only three seasons, he took a program that is among the bottom teams in the state to one of the best programs in the state. From a record of 3-20 when he took over the program to two back-to-back fifth place finishes in state while leading his tram to the Elite Eight Tournament in 2024 and 2025.

During his time at Pierce, Nabil built one of the most successful two-year college volleyball programs in the nation. Under his leadership, the Brahmas captured three consecutive California State Championships (2010, 2011, 2012), earned State Runner-Up titles (2006, 2015, and 2016), and made multiple Final Four and Elite Eight appearances. His teams won 15 Western State Conference Championships over a 17-year span and compiled an extraordinary overall record of 430–88 (178–20 in conference), including a 66-match winning streak from 2011–2012 and a 62-match home winning streak from 2002–2008.

Nabil’s commitment to his players extends well beyond the court—over 90% of his student-athletes went on to transfer to four-year universities with athletic and/or academic scholarships. His dedication to excellence has earned him widespread recognition at the state, regional, and national levels. Nabil is a two-time AVCA National Two-Year College Coach of the Year (2010, 2012), a multiple-time All-Southern California Coach of the Year, and a Western State Conference Coach of the Year an impressive nine times. In 2015, his achievements were honored with induction into the Pierce College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Known for his strategic acumen, strong leadership, and ability to inspire student-athletes, Nabil continues to shape the next generation of volleyball players with the same passion and competitive spirit that have defined his career.
