The two teams battled through 20 points, with LA Mission holding a slim 21-20 lead. But the Mission surged at the right moment, closing out the set with a 4-1 run to take the first 25-21. Oluwatoyin Sunday was key in this set, contributing several timely kills to give the team the momentum they needed. In the second set, LA Mission College found their groove, with strong serving and efficient attacking putting Ventura on their heels. LA Mission College Women's Volleyball dominated the set 25-12, creating separation with a series of aces and powerful kills from Tawnie Ohrt and Sunday. With the match in control, LA Mission College finished strong in the third set.
