LA Mission College Volleyball Triumphs Over Southwestern with 3-0 Sweep

Los Angeles Mission college Women's Volleyball dominated each set, taking them with scores of 25-16, 25-16, and 25-21, showcasing their powerful offense and strong defensive play.

Standout performances came from Tawnie Ohrt and Amya Cheatham January, with Ohrt leading the team with 8 kills and scoring 12 points, while January achieved a hitting percentage of .417 with 6 kills. The team showed balanced contributions across the board, with Iliana Garcia anchoring the defense with 13 digs. Setter Taylor Boone played a pivotal role, tallying 25 assists and adding 3 service aces.

Southwestern struggled offensively, failing to establish an effective attack against LA Mission's defense. Despite a solid effort from Hevila Watson, who led her team with 8 kills, Southwestern couldn't match LA Mission's  energy and control on the court.

Overall, this was a strong start for LA Mission College Women's Volleyball, whose efficient attack and cohesive defense sent a clear message of their competitive form this season.
