Women's Tennis Concluded Their Inaugural Season

LA Mission Women's Tennis concluded their inaugural season on Tuesday vs Santa Monica.  The team finished second in the very tough Western State Conference South division going 13-4 overall and 9-3 in Conference play.  

Anna Kynclova led the way for the lady Eagles with an astonishing 14-2 record from the Singles 1 position.  Anna will be ranked number two player in all the Western State Conference South.

Verenice Prado, who played various positions throughout the year, went 15-1 in the season and was a force all year. 

Julisa Galvan had a tremendous 12-4 record and greatly contributed to the success of the team. 

Angela Zamorano had a fantastic 8-8 record and worked extremely hard to earn every victory

Bella Cornejo had a 6-6 record in the year and was also part of a doubles 1 team that was very successful. 

Victoria Garcia earned 4 victories in the year for the lady Eagles and was and was an extremely hard worker all year. 

Fatima Peralta earned a doubles victory vs Antelope Valley College and singles 7 vs Ventura College.  

 

Head Coach Joe Cascione added, "going 13-4 and 9-3 in Conference is great for any year with any program, but to do this in our first year of competition ever is a testament to how extremely hard the ladies worked and how great our team chemistry was all year."  This has been a tremendous year up to this point, but it is not over yet.  We have individual playoffs and hopefully team playoffs to follow. "

Coach Cascione said, "Our motto all year has been "Preparation + Confidence = Success!" 

"The ladies have put in the work, and we have been strong all year from top to bottom in our lineup.  All of them pull for one another and we are the epitome of what a TEAM should be."
