L.A. Mission College baseball team defeated Antelope Valley 9-6

The Los Angeles Mission College baseball team defeated Antelope Valley 9-6 in a hard-fought game on Thursday. The game was marked by strong offensive performances from both teams.

L.A. Mission got on the board in the second inning when Aiden Sandoval hit a two-run double. Antelope Valley responded in the fourth inning with a two-run home run by Jack Rogers. However, L.A. Mission quickly regained the lead with a three-run fifth inning, including a two-run homer by Jacob Drossin.

In the top of the seventh inning, Antelope Valley rallied to tie the game at 5-5. However, L.A. Mission responded with a four-run eighth inning, thanks to RBI hits by Tyler Marty, Justin Nunez, Jonathan Zermeno, and Daniel Martinez.

Antelope Valley continued to fight back, with Aidan Jbara hitting a two-run single in the ninth inning. However, L.A. Mission pitcher Andrew Jaime was able to close out the game and secure the win for his team.

Mauricio Guardado led the way for L.A. Mission with three hits and two runs scored, while Sandoval and Drossin each had two hits and two RBIs. For Antelope Valley, Jbara had three hits and two RBIs, and Rogers hit a home run.

L.A. Mission improves to 14-24 on the season, while Antelope Valley falls to 16-22.
