We are thrilled to announce and extend a warm welcome to Victoria "Vicky" Oganyan as the new Head Coach of our Women's Basketball team. Coach Oganyan brings a wealth of experience, a proven track record of success, and an inspiring passion for the game that will undoubtedly elevate our basketball program.

A Legacy of Excellence at John Burroughs High School

Coach Oganyan dedicated over two decades to John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California, where she served as the head coach of the girls' basketball team. Under her leadership, the team achieved remarkable milestones, including:​

• Securing seven Pacific League titles.​
• Achieving five CIF Southern Section Division I-A semifinal appearances.​
• Accumulating more than 400 career wins over 21 years. ​

Her commitment to excellence not only fostered a competitive team spirit but also cultivated a culture of discipline and resilience among her players.​

Collegiate Experience

In addition to her high school coaching career, Coach Oganyan served as an assistant coach for the Glendale Community College women's basketball team from 2016 to 2025. She helped guide the team to 6 consecutive conference championship titles and a 180-51 record over that time. Demonstrating her lifelong passion for basketball and learning, she made headlines in 2018-2021 by joining the Glendale College women's basketball team as a player, fulfilling her dream of playing collegiate basketball. ​

Academic and Teaching Background

Beyond the court, Coach Oganyan is a dedicated educator. She has taught anatomy and biology at John Burroughs High School, showcasing her commitment to fostering both the intellectual and athletic development of her students.
