Gustav Gomez joins the LA Mission Men's Soccer program in the Spring of 2018 as the first assistant hired under new Head Coach, Alberto Rosas.

He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. Most recently, Gomez worked in Major League Soccer for the New York Red Bulls youth training program from March 2017 to December 2017. Before that, he coached the National Premier Soccer League team FC Hasental, men's and youth, from 2015 to 2017 in Thousand Oaks. He also coached men's soccer at John Burroughs High School in Burbank, CA, from 2010 to 2015, and then moved on to the Oakwood High School men's soccer team, where he will start his fourth year this winter.

Gomez was a talented center midfielder and right back. He played for Hasental from 2014-2016, preceded by a college career at Glendale Community College. He is excited to contribute at Mission and hopes to help the team with game tactics, philosophy, and playing style.
