My name is Steve Rodriguez born and raised in Pacoima, California. The city is know for its bad history and gang violence but from this difficult area one can learn about football and life.
Proud Son of hardworking parents Juan and Flora Rodriguez. One thing I picked up from my parents is that Diligence and Mental toughness is key in any endeavor, but most important the faith in God.
My love for the sport of Soccer was started through my father and it carries to this day through me. I played at local recreational parks and at John F. Kennedy High School through two great coaches Varsity Coach Fred Singer and JV Coach Walter. Soccer has open many doors in my life and it has allowed me to travel and meet great people from all walks of life. Like in soccer as well in life one must take a chance once in a while to obtain there goal. In the words of T.S.Elliot, " Only those who will risk going to far can possibly find out how far one can go."
