The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings Sporting Goods selected the Gold Glove Teams after the 2017 baseball season. Since 2007 the Rawlings Gold Glove winners have been selected in nine divisions of amateur baseball, from NCAA Div. 1 to High School. 

L.A. Mission Baseball's freshman second baseman, Tyler Grissom, was selected for the 2017 Pacific Association Division Gold Glove Team. 

Grissom boasted a 1.000 fielding percentage with 72 put outs, 120 assists, and zero errors.

The Eagles finished first in their conference and made their CCCAA Super Regional playoff run with the helpful addition of Grissom's fundamentally sound defense.
